Supernatural Summer 2010

JUNE

What you see is not all there is. The Bible says, "We are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world..." (Eph 6:12, NLT). In this new series we study spiritual warfare, angels, demons and the Holy Spirit. Together we'll uncover “The 5th Dimension”
If you have a battle, your battle’s not against other people. Your battle is not against the government, Republicans, Democrats, Hollywood or Donald Trump or your boss. Your battle’s not against people. Your battle is against the powers and the principalities of this dark world. We live in a physical world; and yet, there is a spiritual world that is just as real. Embrace this truth, that what you see with your eyes is not all that there really is.
13 AngelsIt’s very common to get our, our beliefs about angels from television shows or movies like, “Touched By An Angel”, “Angels In The Outfield”? or even the all-time Christmas movie, “It’s A Wonderful Life”. However we need to understand that angels are God’s servants. They are so fierce that they can kill thousands of people at one time; and yet, they’re so gentle that they can protect a single child. Angels are the messengers and spiritual beings of God.
20 Satan & Demons“Where did Satan come from?” Do demons influence the leaders of nations? Do they exist to inflict suffering on you lure you away from God? Do they really want to paralyze you with fear? The answer is yes!
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and is absolutely and completely necessary and essential to live the life that God wants us to live as followers of Christ. God wants to fill His children with His Spirit so that we can live a supernatural life pleasing to God in all ways.

The afterlife is cloaked in mystery. What happens moments after we die? What is Heaven really like? What about Hell? And does what we do in this world really matter in the next? Join us as we uncover the life-altering answers to these questions in So You're Dead...Now What?
What you believe about death and eternity will determine how you live. Atheists believe that at death, it’s over. There is no eternity. Some people believe in purgatory. They believe that once you die, people can pray you out of purgatory. Islam teaches that at the end, Allah will judge the works of those who have gone before. If your good works outweigh your bad, you’ll go to paradise. If your bad works outweigh your good, you’ll, you’ll go to hell. What do you believe?
In recent polling, 75% of Americans believe in Heaven and 40% believe in Hell. It’s natural for many to want the good stuff and not want the bad, but that’s not what the Bible teaches. This week we’ll look at “Why does Hell exist?” and “What do we know about Hell?”
The Bible tells us, “…No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” Heaven is a real and wonderful place where we dwell in the presence of God. However, the truth and reality of heaven is under attack. In this lesson we will do our best to describe what the Bible already says…”can’t be described”
AUGUST

From the very beginning of time, mankind has been fascinated with the end of the world. We've attempted to analyze and calculate it, expect and envision it. We've made assumptions about events and accusations about people, all in an attempt to determine how and when it will happen. Yet, only God truly knows the details.
It’s inevitable. The end of the world is coming. Experts everywhere agree – theologians, scientists, scholars. Yet, while they focus on when and how it will happen, they miss the more important question: what does it mean for us today? In this lesson we look to the Bible to reveal something about the end of the world we may have never considered. We will see what it takes to prepare for the inevitable with a hope that is eternal.
The world as we know it will end. Yet, in spite of astronomical advances in technology and our absolute certainty in human intellect, we simply don’t know when the world will end. But that doesn’t mean we can’t see it coming. This lesson looks at some of the signs that Jesus pointed to that will give us a heads up that the end is near. And we discover that the signs that point to the end can also point us to the beginning of hope, both for now and forever.
Judgment. To us, the word sounds ominous and cruel. It’s a word we equate with prejudice, corruption and even hate. Yet, there is a judgment that is coming that is none of those. It is a judgment born out of God’s love. In this message we open the pages of Scripture to reveal the truth about the ultimate judgment. We will lean that when we view judgment from an eternal perspective, we can begin to experience the most out of life every day.
