Prayer Ministry
Our prayer ministry serves to enlist, educate, equip and encourage the members and attendees of Point of Grace to devote themselves to prayer knowing that prayer is powerful and effective. Serving opportunities include praying during services, intercessory prayer for submitted requests, prayer for specific events and adopting a staff member. To submit a prayer request visit Submit a Prayer Request, contact prayer@pointofgrace.com.
Hospital and Shut-in Visits
We are glad to provide visits for a time of prayer and encouragement to those who are in the hospital or ill at home. Visits are made by members of our Encouragement Team who have been trained to minister in this situation. Not all of the hospitals notify us when someone from Point of Grace has been admitted and we rely on those who would like a visit or their family and friends to let us know when this would be helpful. Visits are not limited to the Point of Grace family and we welcome the opportunity to minister. To request a visit or find out how you can serve on this team contact Jean Gross at jean@pointofgrace.com or 515-987-9595 ext. 113.
Funerals
Grieving family members are often confronted with dozens of decisions about what to do when a loved one dies. We are here to help you in your time of grief. An important role of a pastor is to be a comfort to those who mourn (Isaiah 61:2). If tragedy strikes please let us know. You can contact us at CN@pointofgrace.com or call the church office (515-987-9595) and a pastor will respond.
Food Pantry
In the book of Proverbs chapter 22 verse 9 we read, “Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.”
We are united with many churches in our community in sharing God's love with those in need by providing assistance and linking them with resources that will enable them to become healthier in mind, body and spirit. We give non-perishable foood and personal items to meet short-term needs to those living in the Waukee School District or those with approval from any supporting church. If you are in need of assistance please contact foodpantry@pointofgrace.com or call 515-987-9595 ext. 113.
