At Point of Grace we think that Jr. and Sr. High School can be one of the most exciting seasons of your kids life.  At the same time it’s one of the more awkward times – for both the student and the parent.  It’s a time of building independence, giving up complete control and truly preparing them to move toward independence.

We as the church are here to support, equip and encourage you every step of the way, and we truly believe nobody has the ability to influence your student’s faith more than you.  Every year the average student will spend 40 hours at church, 1000 hours at school and more than 3000 at home.  You have more than 10 times the opportunity to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years.

With that in mind, Point of Grace Student Ministries is designed with the purpose of partnering with parents to help them raise students that “see as God sees, so they will love as God loves.”

We do this through helping them build intentional relationships, giving students opportunities to be involved in a cause bigger than themselves and teaching them memorable principles to guide them through life.

The_Spark

The SPARK – Middle School (6th - 8th Grade)

During the middle school years, students experience some especially tough transitions.  As they navigate all the changes, we hope to show them how they can connect with real friends, understand themselves and discover God's love and grace in a personal way.  To get the most out of The Spark, we recommend that your student attend the same service, with the same group of friends and the same leader, each Sunday morning at either 9:00 or 10:30 am in the Student Zone.

In grades 6-8 we focus on instilling principles into the lives of our students.  These principles are:

  • When you see as God sees, you’ll do as God says
  • Acceptance fuels influence
  • Your friends determine the direction and quality of your life
  • Purity paves the way to intimacy
  • In every situation, you need to ask yourself, “Is this the wise choice?”
  • God never wastes a hurt
  • I need to be the church, not just go to church

4ORTY2WO

4ORTY 2WO – High School (9th-12th Grade)

This is not your normal church service, but rather is specifically designed to relate, challenge and encourage High School students to prioritize their relationship with God and change their world! Our hope is that by the time they graduate, they will have discovered how God has uniquely shaped them to passionately advance the cause of Christ wherever He leads them for the rest of their life.  We meet weekly from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Sunday Nights.

In grades 9-12 we focus on instilling checkpoints into the lives of our students.  These checkpoints are:

  • When you see as God sees, you’ll do as God says
  • Acceptance fuels influence
  • Your friends determine the direction and quality of your life
  • Purity paves the way to intimacy
  • In every situation, you need to ask yourself, “Is this the wise choice?”
  • God never wastes a hurt
  • I need to be the church, not just go to church
