First POG Wellness & Recreation Ministry Meeting |
|
The new Wellness & Recreation Ministry is having its first meeting on Sunday, May 18th during the second service in the HUB (off the east side of the Atrium) starting at 10:30 a.m. Mark Yontz will be offering an overview of ministry, but also seeking input from those interested in helping lead groups and/or activities as a part of the overall ministry. Plans for a Wellness & Recreation activity during the upcoming church picnic on June 4th will also be discussed. Anyone is welcome to attend, as this new ministry plans to develop activities and events for all ages and interests. For more information, contact Mark Yontz at 369-8687 or at Yontz@mchsi.com . Prism Informational meeting |
The PRISM Weight Loss Program has helped tens of thousands of people begin and stay on a journey to lasting transformation. PRISM is a Christ-centered program for change - NOT just a diet program - dealing with the whole person; the physical, emotional, and spiritual. Nancy Morris and Jean Gross will present this program at an introductory meeting on Tuesday, June 3rd, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The next session will begin June 19th.
The cost for materials is $55 for the first 6-week session, $45 for each 6-week session thereafter (4 sessions total). Should you choose to join, please be prepared with payment so materials can be ordered. Regular group meetings will be held every Thursday at 6:30PM. We look forward to having your child join us for Vacation Bible School this July 7-11, from 6:30-8:30pm! Our theme is "Jonah's Surf Shop" and we'll be helping kids discover how deep, long, wide and high God's love is for them! We'll also be following up with the missionaries at the Pines Christian Village in Welkom, South Africa and learn about the new work they're doing. The kids will be challenged to help them through their giving and prayers.

If your student is going with us to Big Stuf camp this summer in Panama City Beach, Florida, then we have some news for you! Your final balance is due no later than Sunday, May 4th or your account will be charged a $50 late fee. Also, there is a mandatory PARENT AND STUDENT meeting for camp. We have two dates for you to choose from, but you only need to come to ONE of the meetings. Your options are May 18th at 12:30p or June 8th at 12:30p. If your student is on the waiting list, feel free to attend either meeting, and once we know if your spot is available we will contact you and discuss payment.
